#TurkeyBlockedTwitter - #LetsSocialize

Hey fellas, Let's Socialize,

What will I be talking about in here on Let's Socialize ?
I will talk about the socially active and socially awkward topics.

So, recently Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan passed a law to ban twitter in Turkey and twitter was banned on Thursday at 4:30pm E.T. And the reason given was "to preserve citizens' privacy". I clearly do not understand this. How can any government control the social choices of the citizens ? What is the point here ?

As we would expect many turkish citizens protested against this via google and ofcourse via Twitter. Hahahaha. Like life will find its way, twitter users will find their way no matter what. And thus started #TurkeyBlockedTwitter hashtag.

This issue lightened up when the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul went against this decision and expressed his feelings in, YES in Twitter. :D

This is what he tweeted out which meant,
"A complete shutdown of social media platforms cannot be approved", to which I say, "Cool, Mr.President".

Now, the reason why I wanted to talk about this on Friendly Friday here is, as I expected there are a bunch of people who felt negativity when the people of Turkey protested against this. They think twitter isn't worth protesting and that its just a social media. I totally disagree with them. Its not just about not being able to use twitter, its about the unspoken rights of every citizens. A body that is named as "Government" shouldn't do stuff like this. That is the point. No matter how big or small the issue is.
And twitter is cool. Don't take something cool away from people. No No No !
