I am not sure whether this is how everyone who likes to take pictures feel like, but I sure do. That is, even if you get criticized right to your face about the pics you take, you still like em and are really proud of it. 

The above recent pic of my friend's daughter Katelyn, that I took is what I really like. Yes, this is one of the pics I got bad feedback for from people with really "good taste". Hahaha I am just kidding. NOT. :P

I don't know how or why, but the eyes of babies are so much sharper and majestic compared to our sick and tired adult eyes. 

So technically a professional photographer might find faults in this pic and may be others wouldn't consider this a great pic, but I had so much fun while editing the pic which made me like it so much. I just enhanced the colour a little and cropped the edges. Apart from that most of the light in it are natural sun light.

Redhongyi - #LetsCLike

Hey fellas, Let's CLike.

What will I be talking about in here on Let's CLike ? 

I will talk about the pics I ‘clicked or liked’.

Today I wanna talk about one of the instagrammers I follow. I am a selectively active instagrammer (I am not sure if thats a term yet. Well it is now). Redhongyi is one of my favorite instagrammer who loves to paint but not with a paintbrush. It might be an usual line but she actually is one of those who has earned the right to use that line.

She paints with all sorts of stuff that are lying around her. Especially with food. Her mom didn't do a great job trying to teach her not to play with food but she made a career out of it. Best career story ever.

She like every artist started small and now painting celebrities' portraits and she has gone big. Recently she did a portrait of Jackie Chan using 60,000 Bamboo Chopsticks for his 60th birthday. How crazy is that ?

I chose to talk about Redhongyi who claims herself as an artist and not a photographer, which is tricky here because you have to have an artistic character to convince yourself as a photographer. But an artist is not a subset of photographer. Every photographer who captures something he/she likes, has to either see in a artistic perspective or set something as an artist.
So ask yourself, are you convinced with yourself as a photographer who just knows about the camera and editing tools.

I have mentioned this before while agreeing to the fact that, everyone can be a photographer. But an artist is what makes a photographer to convince yourself as one. 
I am mentioning 'convincing yourself' repetitively because that is what matters to me. I take pictures to satisfy me and not convince others. I am sure so does most of us.

So, back to Redhongyi. She not only creates art with regular and irregular objects but creates them based on the theme of what has had an effect in her mind currently. For instance, she projects the news that she feels worth sharing, which makes me assume that she sees everything in her own specific ways and speaks in that way too. By now you might have understood that I am very much impressed with her work and her passion.

deabi - #LetsCLike

Hey fellas, Let's CLike.

What will I be talking about in here on Let's CLike ? 

I will talk about the pics I ‘clicked or liked’.

Before I cross the #5th week here on TIC Thursday, I have to talk about my buddy deabi's (Baradan Dharumaiyan) clicks. It all started few years back - taking digital pics started with our mutual interests in technology (iPhone) and I would say this fella triggered my interest in photography even more. And I think I can speak for Marcel Malcolm too when I say, he was triggered too by this fella.

Being a "Nature Lover / Explorer / Photo-hobbyist / Bike Freak / Tech savvy" (his own twitter profile description), he kinda fits in to expect cool pics from.

When someone you know takes better pics than you with the ideas you didn't think of, there is no place for competition but a friendly inspiration. Sometimes I steal his ideas too, hahaha !
We discuss a lotta travel and photography ideas and often do weekend photowalks wherever we go.

Btw I can't believe "Selfie" is a word now but "photowalk" is not. 

There are lots of pics to discuss about when it comes to his pics because for some of those I was there. I don't know whether he knows this but, like every amateur photographer, he started developing his own clicking style unintentionally. For instance comparing my pics and his, I always find the subject placement as a major difference. He prioritizes chrome and then on the subject, in that order.

My OlymPIC 2012 - #LetsCLike

Hey fellas, Let's CLike

What will I be talking about in here on Lets CLike ? 

I will talk about the pics I ‘clicked or liked’.

I have been taking pics for a long time now and so I have a lot of old pics to talk about here. So like before, I am gonna dig up an old pic that I clicked. 

I took this pic in 2012 during the Olympics season, when the Olympic torch was traveling through Newcastle upon tyne. Me and my friends ran all around the city following the torch and taking pictures. 

The above pic is one of my favorites that I clicked that day. The only editing I did using photoshop is taking off the chrome around the torch bearer. This was near China town in Newcastle and I am so glad I ran through the crowd to take pics. 

This pic was partially an accident cos I thought that I set the shutter speed to the max but apparently I didn't. But that actually worked out and just got the subject without motion blur because I moved the camera towards the direction she was running. Learnt from an accident.

Focal Length: 55

Camera: Canon 550D

Lens: 18-55mm

Chennai Photographers - #LetsCLike

Hey fellas, Let's CLike

What will I be talking about in here on Let's CLike ? 

I will talk about the pics I ‘clicked or liked’.

There are aspiring photographers all over the world. No matter how beautiful you think your city is or how bad you think your city is, you can always get the best out of it only if you are a photographer. And I have to clarify here that by 'Photographer' here I mean the professional 'I know what I am doing' photographers and not the amateur photographers. Not that I am insulting the amateur photographers, even I am one, but I just want to emphasis about the really good photographers whose work I like. 

As we all know there are abundant number of photographers in Chennai, India but after following many, some got my attention in such a way that I follow their photographs like a TV show. 

First of all the most looked up on Ashok Saravanan Ay. Personally I like his Chrome enhanced pics and those cool multiple exposure pics. I would say his pics are my 'The Big Bang Theory'. 

And the photographer that caught my attention all around the social media and in events around chennai is KreativeKarry. Her pics from a friends family event caught my attention and since then I am calling her pics as my 'Breaking Bad'. Her pics are literally exciting to look at. Y'all will agree with me pretty soon when you check out her pics.

What I click - #LetsCLike

Hey fellas, Let's CLike.

What will I be talking about in here on Let's CLike ? 

I will talk about the pics I ‘clicked or liked’.

As MOST of us, I would like to say I take photographs too. But sometimes I take pics just to get me into a better mood. I might not share all the pics I take. To put it in another way, I don't always take pics to share. But also there are times I over-share the pics I take - you can't blame me, I am socially 'active'.

I HAVE to add this usual note - Nowadays, everyone is a photographer and I agree. You don't need an expensive camera and lenses to take good pics.

Well, like I don't classify me as a 'photographer', I also don't classify my photos into some particular categories. I see ideas I like, I click. I get ideas, I click.

I will be talking about the recent pics I took and my old pics I like talking about and even the pics of others that impressed me very much. Also the photography in movies get my attention and I will talk about it too. 

I took the above pic about an year ago. Except for the brightness enhancement and the signature, nothing was edited in photoshop in this pic. You might have seen similar pics from others or even almost same kind of pics but for this particular pic I don't have any photographer to refer to, from whom I got inspired for this idea.

I am not a Photographer - #LetsCLike

Hey fellas, Let's CLike.

What will I be talking about in here on Let's CLike ? 

I will talk about the pics I ‘clicked or liked’.

I don't know whether I had a knack for photography since my childhood. But all I know is, I started using all sorts of cameras in my childhood as every other child who gets a chance would. I was familiar with the operations of cameras like, kodak film cameras, polaroids and then later on came the mobile phones.
Then came the iPhone which gave me a good entertainment in taking interesting pictures. I started liking taking pictures a lot. That is the only reason I bought a Canon SLR. I am now in love with taking pictures. That doesn't mean I am a photographer nor I am trying to be a photographer.
Only when you start showing interest in photography, you will know its not a joke being a photographer. It is like any other profession. Its not just a hobby. You can't just say "He is just a freelance photographer". You have no idea what it takes to be called as a freelance photographer.
I follow blogs of many professional photographers and other freelance photographers. Some have different main professions but still take photography so seriously. I realized I have to wait a long time to reach that point where I can take photography seriously. I am not even sure whether I would lead myself to that point. I will be glad if I do.
I am sure I will never get bored taking photographs. Nothing I do makes me a photographer. I am one of the guys who likes to take photographs and likes Image Processing which is being my current professional interest.
One of my recent pictures:

There is a lot in this picture that I like. I work a lot in Adobe Photoshop just to make my pictures more presentable. I finish working on a picture and save it to my computer only when I feel complete and satisfied about that picture.
This is what I do with my cameras and pictures. If you are a photographer, you will find my view as your beginning days of taking pictures. You would have come so far now. If you not a photographer, you should know, I am not a photographer.
